Augusta Laar
Augusta Laar lebt in München und gelegentlich in Wien. Sie ist Lyrikerin, bildende Künstlerin, Kuratorin und Musikerin. Sie studierte Musik in München (LMU, Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium). Sie ist Leiterin der Lesungsreihe Schamrock-Salons sowie des weltweit einzigen Frauenlyrikfestivals, des Internationalen Schamrock-Festivals der Dichterinnen (2026 findet das 8. Schamrock-Festival der Dichterinnen statt). Gemeinsam mit Kalle Aldis Laar leitet sie außerdem das Schamrock Film Festival female presence.
2026 und 2024 war sie Botschafterin des Schamrock-Festivals und der Vienna Poetry School an der Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics in Boulder, Colorado. 2016 war sie Botschafterin der Escuela Permanente de Poesía de Medellín beim Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín. Sie ist Mitglied der World Poetry Movement (WPM)und des PEN-Zentrums Deutschland sowie Gründungsmitglied von Netzwerk Lyrik e. V.
Zu ihren jüngsten Auszeichnungen zählen der Bayerische Kulturpreis 2022 sowie der Anita-Augspurg-Preis der Stadt München 2021 für Schamrock e. V. International ist sie mit Ausstellungen und bei Lyrikfestivals vertreten und trat unter anderem in Istanbul, Medellín, Riga, Wien, Venedig, Toronto und New York auf.
