„Bei der igfem wird Kollaboration großgeschrieben – es gibt für jede bzw. jeden rund um die Uhr ein offenes Ohr und man hat das Gefühl, die eigene Perspektive sowie Ideen und Anmerkungen werden nicht nur wertgeschätzt, sondern aktiv erwünscht. Da oft neue Mitarbeiterinnen hinzukommen, ist eine schnelle Einarbeitung wichtig; Gerlinde und die anderen Kolleginnen geben sich große Mühe, jedem Neuankömmling Hintergründe und Abläufe zu erklären, sodass man sich schnell als Teil des Teams versteht. Im gemeinsamen Gespräch werden Thematiken immer wieder kontextualisiert und Beweggründe betont, was ich besonders wertgeschätzt habe. Ich konnte während meiner Zeit bei der igfem nicht nur einen Einblick in die Arbeitsprozesse einer feministischen Organisation gewinnen, sondern auch in den Austausch mit Frauen treten, denen aufrichtig daran gelegen ist, einen Unterschied zu machen.”

“Seit Anfang Dezember 2022 bin ich bei der  ≠igfem als Praktikantin tätig. Ich bin ganz zufällig auf den Verein gestoßen und hab mir gedacht, ich probier mein Glück – vielleicht können sie mich ja brauchen. Und tatsächlich bin ich sofort aufgenommen worden. Ich war von Anfang an überzeugt von der Arbeit, die hier bei der ≠igfem gemacht wird. Während des Praktikums durfte ich erfahren, was kreatives und freies Arbeiten bedeutet. Von Artikel schreiben bis Social-Media-Arbeit war alles dabei. Und ich habe mir auch ein neues Hobby zugelegt – Poetry!”

INTERNSHIP AT ≠IGFEM

Are you searching for a diverse internship in a feminist environment? ≠igfem regularly offers internship positions where you have the opportunity to explore various fields of activities. Tasks range from supporting the team in organizing writing and reading groups, and literature festivals, to social media management, conceptualizing international projects, public relations, and communication with our partner organizations.

We do not set a fixed time frame for the internship and welcome anyone interested in engaging with a feminist literary organization and expanding their skills. ≠igfem is a non-profit organization that places great value on open communication, teamwork, and appreciation.

The internship at ≠igfem is unpaid; however, it provides the opportunity for interns to participate for free in all our offerings and courses. We look forward to supporting dedicated individuals who are interested in feminist issues and want to gain experience in an inspiring environment.

„At igfem, collaboration is truly at the heart of everything. There is always someone willing to listen, and I had the feeling that my perspective, ideas and suggestions were not only valued, but genuinely welcomed. Since new team members often join, getting up to speed quickly is important. Gerlinde and the other colleagues make a real effort to explain the background and processes to everyone who joins, so that you quickly feel like part of the team.

In our discussions, topics were repeatedly put into context and the reasons behind decisions were explained, which I particularly appreciated. During my time at igfem, I was able to gain not only an insight into the work of a feminist organisation, but also the opportunity to connect with women who genuinely care about making a difference.“

“Since early December 2022, I have been working as an intern at ≠igfem. I stumbled upon the organization by chance and thought, why not give it a try – maybe they could use my skills. And indeed, I was immediately welcomed. From the beginning, I was convinced of the work being done at ≠igfem. During the internship, I got to experience what creative and independent work entails. From writing articles to social media work, everything was included. I even picked up a new hobby – poetry!”
