Dr. Ani Manukyan
Dr. Ani Manukyan holds a PhD in English Teaching Methodology, as well as is an expert in Area Studies. In 2013, Dr Manukyan was a Scholar in Residence at Arizona State University School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies through the United States Federal Exchange Program, where she developed an undergraduate elective course on American Studies for Armenian higher educational institutions. In 2014, Dr. Manukyan spent one semester at Arizona State University (ASU) School of Social Transformation in the frame of Yerevan State University (YSU)-ASU joint Master’s Program on Women, Development and Leadership. During her appointment at ASU, she developed two graduate-level courses: Women and Leadership, and Women’s Role in Political Transition.Dr Manukyan is also an Armenian-English and English-Armenian translator. In 2019-20, she translated the autobiographical book “Through the Depths” written by an Armenian-American author, Souren Hannesian. Suren Hanessian was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, and the book was a detailed account of the events he witnessed. In 2019, Dr. Manukyan started working on the book “They Won By Living”. The book was published in Armenia in 2022. A documentary film was made in 2023 based on the book. In 2023 the book “Crossed Destinies” came out in Armenian and English. In 2025 the book “The Black Building” came out in Armenian and English. Currently, Mrs. Manukyan is working on her fourth book “100+unfinished years”.
